Faculty
Part-time faculty benefit eligibility (Medical, Dental/Vision and FSAs only)
If you are teaching at least a 6-unit course assignment in the Fall or Spring semester, you are eligible to participate in LMU's part-time group health benefit plans (medical/dental/vision/FSA). The Plan requires that at least a 6-unit course assignment be taught in a semester to maintain benefits eligibility.
Staff
Part-time staff benefit eligibility (Medical, Dental/Vision and FSAs only)
Part-time staff employed as a 0.5 Full-Time Equivalent are benefits eligible. Part-time eligibility on the Westchester campus and the Law School is 20 hours worked per week.
Retirement Plan
Part-time faculty and staff members are eligible to participate in the retirement plan immediately and may join the plan as soon as administratively feasible, but with no University match. The matching contributions will apply only after one year of service and upon completing 1,000 hours (A "year of service" is defined as 12 consecutive-month period during which you have at least 1,000 hours of service).
