The University offers a 403(b) retirement plan (Loyola Marymount University Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) with tax deferred and after-tax Roth features. The University contribution to the retirement plan (Transamerica) is 9.5% of the participant's regular salary, provided the participant contributes at least 5%. Vesting is 100% upon enrollment.
Full-time faculty and staff members are eligible to participate in this plan immediately and may join as soon as administratively feasible. Part-time and temporary employees may participate in this plan, but with no University match (unless they have completed a consecutive 12-month period of not less than 1,000 hours of service).
