What is Workday? 

Workday consolidates all HR and financial processes into a single platform. The following is just a sampling of the tasks you can complete on the platform. 

HR Processes:

• Contact Info: update your employee information, including mailing address, emergency contacts, and more
• HR Service Request: submit your request directly through Workday
• Job Applications: upload your resume, apply to jobs, and track your progress
• Job Hiring: post your open position, manage submitted resumes, and complete the hiring and onboarding process
• PAF/AAF/Supplemental Pay Forms: find, complete, and submit pay forms
• Pay Stubs: view and print your pay stubs and benefits summary
• Performance Reviews: managed internally through Workday
• Student Employment: all elements of student employment are conducted in Workday
• Tax Forms: view and print forms for annual tax filing
• Time Off: view balance and submit time off requests
• Time Tracking: hourly workers can clock in and out, to track time worked

Financial Processes: 

• Budgets: including planning, tracking, and reporting
• Expense Reports: track and submit open reports for processing
• Invoices: upload receipts and submit for processing
• Online Ordering: order business-related supplies via Amazon, Office Depot, and CDW. Click "connect to supplier website" and your purchases will automatically be tied to your LMU account.

The History of Workday on the Bluff

Workday launched at LMU in June 2021, the culmination of a multi-year project and the largest technology overhaul in 23 years. 

After an exhaustive RFP process, Workday was selected as the platform best suited to LMU's HR and financial needs. The first true cloud application built for higher education, Workday highlights a user-friendly interface that is uniquely suited to a university setting in today's digital age. The platform is equally desktop and mobile-friendly, allowing students, staff, and faculty to access their benefits and conduct business from any device, anywhere, anytime.
