Rothinny Honghin, B.A.
Born and raised in the small town of Barstow, California Rothinny Honghin found his passion for Early Childhood Education when he interned at UCLA’s Infant Development Program. Rothinny graduated from UCLA in 2018 with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. Since then, he has pursued a career in early childhood education starting as a primary teacher at LMUCC to this day. He strives to create challenging, inclusive, and representative curriculum to stimulate critical thinking skills and self-efficacy. He loves to personalize curriculum to fit his classrooms interests and needs. Moreover, Rothinny incorporates abstract concepts, such as the network of billions of neurons in the brain, into curriculum to illuminate the significance of children’s play on their development. He believes these early critical years of development are essential for strengthening the children's intrinsic desire to learn, grow, and build a benevolent community with their current and future peers. Lastly, Rothinny wishes to create a strong sense of community and collaboration between the teaching teams and families within LMUCC.
