NAEYC Accreditation

LMUCC has proudly achieved NAEYC accreditation for a 3rd time in its history (2010, 2015, 2020) and joins the 7,000 programs of accredited centers nationwide!

NAEYC accreditation is a voluntary, quality assessment established by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the largest nonprofit association in the United States representing early childhood education. Accreditation sets professional standards for high quality programs for young children whereas licensing requirements provide basic health and safety standards.

NAEYC's accreditation process breaks down the variables constituting quality care into the following 10 standards.

  1. Relationships
  2. Teaching
  3. Assessment
  4. Health and Safety
  5. Families
  6. Community Relationships
  7. Leadership and Management
  8. Curriculum
  9. Teachers
  10. Physical Environment

LMUCC successfully exceeded required criteria in each of these categories and received commendations in the majority of the standards in 2010, 2015 and 2020.
