Karina Diaz, M.A.
Karina graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English with a concentration in American Literature and Culture, a B.A. in Spanish, and a minor in Mexican Studies. While an undergraduate student, she began working at UCLA's Krieger Child Care Center and fell in love with the job, the people, and above all the children. Upon graduating from UCLA, she enrolled and completed child development courses from El Camino College, earning her California Child Development Site Supervisor Teaching Permit. After five long years, two degrees, and a teaching permit, she said good-bye to UCLA and hello to the LMUCC to which she has dedicated 12 years and counting. Karina spent almost six years as a Teacher at the LMUCC and has served as our Site Supervisor/Preschool Curriculum Coordinator since 2016. During her time at the LMUCC, she also furthered her education and earned her Master’s in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from LMU. In her free time, Karina likes to read, dabbles in creative writing, and enjoys baseball season as a long-time Dodger fan!
