  • No. Only current LMU students can receive mail and packages at LMU. If you are a LMU student returning in the fall semester, you may send packages and mail to the Distribution Center during the summer.

  • The Distribution Center will hold packages for a minimum of 30 days.

  • The Distribution Center recommends following these guidelines whenever sending packages or mail to LMU:

    1. Label all packages with both the full name and MSB number for the recipient.
    2. Do not share MSB numbers between students. MSB Numbers are unique to individuals.
    3. Do not send packages containing cash, checks, gift cards, or other highly liquid items. If the package is necessary, send the materials through trackable shipping. Do not sent these materials through standard first class mail.
    4. For high value items, consider purchasing shipping insurance for lost or damaged packages.
    5. For important, time sensitive items, such as medicine, use a trackable shipping option. Additionally, feel free to contact the Distribution Center to ensure delivery.

Package Notification

  • A Distribution Center Package Pick Up Notification will be sent to your LMU email when your package is ready for pick up.

  • After delivery, all packages require time to be processed into the Distribution Center’s internal manifest. You will receive a Distribution Center Package Notification once your package has been fully processed and is ready for pickup.

Please note that for USPS deliveries, notifications are generated when the package arrives at the local post office, not when it reaches LMU. As a result, USPS packages may experience delays of up to two business days between the notification and actual campus delivery.
