Childcare — Balancing work, school, and family isn't easy, which is why LMU offers a range of childcare options to support women pursuing their educational or professional goals. Resources include information on on-campus daycare facilities as well as curated recommendations for reputable off-campus childcare services, so you can find the option that best fits your family's needs and schedule.
LMU Family of Schools — Through its partnership with K-12 schools in Westchester and Playa Vista, LMU helps strengthen ties between the university and the local community. This initiative supports academic success for neighborhood students while building lasting relationships between LMU families and the schools their children attend, creating a true "Lion family" network beyond campus.
Family Resources and Activities — From swim lessons to summer camps, Lion-themed birthday parties to discounted or free admission tickets for local attractions, LMU curates a variety of activities designed to make family life easier and more fun. Whether you're looking for a weekend outing or a way to keep the kids engaged over summer break, these resources are built with busy LMU families in mind.
Parking Accommodation for Pregnant Mothers — Navigating campus while pregnant can be physically demanding, so LMU provides designated parking accommodations near key campus facilities for expectant mothers. This resource is designed to reduce unnecessary walking and make day-to-day commuting to work or class more comfortable throughout pregnancy.
Pregnancy-Related Needs — LMU provides lactation rooms across campus equipped with the amenities breastfeeding mothers need, offering a quiet, private, and hygienic environment to pump or nurse during the workday. These spaces reflect LMU's commitment to supporting new and expecting mothers as they transition back to work and campus life.
Wellbeing Resources — Supporting the whole person means supporting physical, mental, and emotional health. LMU's wellbeing resources include access to counseling services, wellness workshops, and support groups designed to help women navigate the unique challenges and transitions they may face throughout their time at LMU.
