Biking

Our campus's bike score of 82 (very bikeable) and Silver certification as a Bicycle Friendly University stems from our extensive use of bike lanes and bike racks throughout campus, safe and accessible bike parking facilities, and our student-run bike repair shop.
Green LMU proudly manages The Cycling Lion, offering free bike services to the entire campus community as part of our commitment to promoting sustainable and accessible transportation options. Collapsible Tern bikes are available for rent at no cost, allowing students, faculty, and staff to borrow them for up to one week at a time. In addition to our rental program, we offer free bike servicing and maintenance, ensuring that everyone on campus has access to safe and reliable transportation. Whether you're commuting across campus or exploring the surrounding area, The Cycling Lion makes it easy, affordable, and eco-friendly.

Why bike registration matters
- Theft Prevention: Registration provides an official record that helps law enforcement track and recover stolen bicycles
- Quick Recovery: If your bike is stolen, having it registered increases the chances of recovery
- Proof of Ownership: In case of theft or misplacement, a registered bike serves as official proof that it belongs to you, making the retrieval process smoother
