Executive Steering Committee

The Executive Steering Committee will work to provide essential leadership and support for the Propel LMU project. The Executive Steering Committee will serve as an escalation path when precedent making or transformational decisions are being contemplated by either the core project team or by the System Evaluation and Implementation Committee.

Specifically, the Executive Steering Committee will:

  • Advocate, promote, and provide enthusiastic support for the Propel LMU project
  • Obtain budget and resources
  • Obtain board approvals, if necessary
  • Initiate and communicate required change/obtain support for change
  • Communicate the importance of the project and ask for participation
  • Devote time and provide input to the project
  • Participate in vendor demonstrations
  • Approve ERP solution recommended by the ERP Evaluation Team

System Evaluation and Implementation Steering Committee

The System Evaluation and Implementation Steering Committee will work at all stages of the project to ensure that the chosen solution will support leading practices that simultaneously promote both a streamlined user experience and efficient backend processing. The System Evaluation and Implementation Committee will be forward thinking and will challenge the status quo. The efforts of the System Evaluation and Implementation Steering Committee in calendar year 2019 will be focused on the process of selecting a software vendor and a systems integrator.

In calendar year 2020, the focus of this committee will shift to working with the systems integrator to implement the solution.

Specifically, in 2019, the System Evaluation and Implementation Steering Committee will:

  • Participate in interviews, information gathering, requirements validation
  • Review Request for Proposal (RFP) document
  • Participate in vendor and RFP evaluations and vendor demonstrations
  • Develop a methodology for evaluating vendors
  • Develop implementation strategy and timeline for deploying the new ERP solution
  • Recommend to the Executive Steering Committee the selected ERP solution
  • Provide enthusiastic support for the project
  • Champion business process review and improvement
  • Serve as system change agents by advocating for the new system
