Anais graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in History and minors in Applied Developmental Psychology and Chicana/o Studies. Her interest in working with children began in high school, where she helped to develop an after-school literacy program at a local elementary school for four years. While at UCLA, Anais became more interested and involved in child development. She interned at one of the centers for UCLA's Infant Development Program as part of the coursework in the Applied Development Psychology minor. While at IDP Fernald, she worked with children from 3 months to 3 years of age. When she started at the LMUCC, she completed the Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) Foundations Course. As a teacher at the LMUCC, Anais enjoys engaging children of all ages in meaningful interactions that expand on their developmental needs, emerging interests, curiosity, and independence. She also enjoys reading, singing, arts and crafts, and traveling. Anais is currently pursuing a Masters in Counseling at LMU’s School of Education.
