Cynthia’s experience in early childhood education began while interning at one of UCLA’s childcare centers. Throughout her internship, Cynthia worked with infants ages 2-18 months. Cynthia has also expanded her experience and knowledge in early childhood education by earning her RIE certification. Cynthia enjoys working with young children because of their authentic desire to know and understand themselves, each other and the world they live in. She also appreciates the way young children are teachers themselves. Cynthia graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Applied Developmental Psychology. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling, with a specialization in community and mental health, at LMU’s School of Education. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys taking kickboxing classes and hiking. She has hiked the Grand Canyon in Arizona and the Potato Chip Rock hiking trail in San Diego, among many other hiking trails in Los Angeles. She has also taken road trips to Arizona, Nevada and Mexico. Cynthia has been with the LMUCC for two years and is looking forward to continuing her work and dedication to the LMUCC children and their families.
